The Unforgettable Recruiter™

    Recruitment sales, installed under pressure

It is never one placement. It is every one after.

For recruiters who win by getting the best out of relationships on both sides. Thorough work turns one fee into many.

    The Standard

Never lie. Never embellish a role or a candidate.

Open questions. Honest answers. No quick wins. AI can find resumes. Your job is to sell the person.

Where placements are won or lost

    Buy-back

Their own company asks them to stay. Raise it at the first meeting, not the last.

    Counter-offer

Another company offers a different role. Start again, and ask until you know.

    Going dark

Agree at the start: if it is not for you, just say so. It is a small industry.

    The Joker Card

Lighter on paper. Right for the person.

When you know the client and the personality they want, bring in the candidate who fits. It works on trust, and only if you do not play it every time.

    The Long Game

Keep in touch. Placed or not.

Candidates become clients. Clients become candidates. The recruiter who stays in touch is the one they call years later.

    Keep in touch

Honest updates, even when you have nothing. Never go dark on either side.

    After the decision

Placed or not, follow up with both. Good work keeps the relationship.

    Know the market

Keep learning your market and your industry. Bring one useful insight to every call.

    The Human Edge

AI can find the resume. The human skills win the placement.

The free Human Edge shows how your human skills hold up under pressure: listening, rapport, presence, follow-through and more. Every module trains one of them.

    The Course

    Five parts. 31 modules.

    Module 01

    Never Lie. Never Embellish.

Not the role, not the candidate, not the salary. Your word is the only asset that compounds.

    • An embellished role gets a candidate who leaves in three months, and a client who stops calling.
    • Say what is true, including what is not great about the job.
    • If you would not say it with both sides in the room, do not say it.

    Human skill: Authenticity

Situation Room: The client asks if your candidate has led a team. She has led projects, not people. Answer now.

    Module 02

    No Quick Wins

A placement is one sale. A relationship is ten. Play for the ten.

    • Pushing a wrong-fit candidate to hit month-end can cost you the client for years.
    • Thorough work on both sides is what turns one fee into repeat business.
    • The recruiters people remember are the ones who said no when it was not right.

    Human skill: Follow-Through

Situation Room: It is the 28th. You are one placement short of target. The only candidate left is a weak fit. What do you tell the client?

    Module 03

The First Hour Decides The Day

Calls before inbox. Business development before admin. Own the hour nobody else owns.

    • The first hour belongs to calls that make money: clients, candidates, follow-ups.
    • Inbox triage in the first hour hands your day to other people.
    • Same time, same block, every day, whatever the market is doing.

    Human skill: Follow-Through

Situation Room: It is 8:55. Three candidate emails, one angry client voicemail. Your block starts at 9. What happens first?

    Module 04

    Rejection Is The Job

Candidates pull out. Clients go quiet. Offers fall over. Recruiters who last recover fast.

    • A lost placement is information, not identity.
    • Run the reset in 90 seconds: breathe, log what you learned, next call.
    • Under pressure, some recruiters can chase the next deal without learning from the last.

    Human skill: Repair

Situation Room: Your candidate accepted on Friday and pulled out Monday morning. The client is calling. Take the call.

    Module 05Recruiter only

    Fair, Legal And Trusted

US good practice for fair hiring and careful candidate data. We are not lawyers: this is good practice, not legal advice.

    • Never act on a client request to screen people out for race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age (40 and over), disability or any other protected reason. US federal law (EEOC) and many state laws protect these.
    • Only share a candidate's resume and details with their permission, and only for the role you discussed.
    • Rules vary by state, for example salary history and pay transparency laws. When you are not sure, stop and check with your firm or an employment attorney before you act.
    • This module is good practice, not legal advice.

    Human skill: Authenticity

Situation Room: A client tells you, 'Just send me someone young who will fit in with the team.' Answer.
